The virgin passport
This story is about a passport that was conceived many years ago but was lying dormant for all that time. The original purpose of this passport was to take me to amrika but unfortunately it could not happen. So it turned out that the only initial use of its birth was to help me take GRE and TOEFL, apart from reminding me of my nationality.
It was a few weeks back that I was told that I might be going to Singapore for some official work. “Virginity is a curable disease” is what we used to joke about during our hostel days and it was hard to believe that my passport could be cured too. After filling some endless forms, getting my photo clicked in different backgrounds with different finishes, I finally got my passport buddy stamped by the Singapore authorities. I have to sometimes pinch myself to remind that the passport is virgin no more !!!

Prologue
This is what I always wanted – to make my scribblings public. So here is this guy, somewhere in his mid-twenties, trying to write something as unmeaningful as he could. People say that writing comes from the heart but a lot of you agree that it sometimes also comes from that isolated attic of your brain where thoughts just get rotten like old furniture, waiting to be taken away. Same is the case with me; yeah this is not coming from the heart (I mean …. Majority of it) but from that attic whose lock is just opened and a deluge of thoughts just flowed by this page leaving some printable impressions.
So what next?? Yeah... its time for a short introduction of myself, which is kindaa necessary as many of you might wonder which part of cosmos I am from and what specy I belong to. Well, you can call me by the name of Buffy. No, I suppose there is no connection with Sarah Mitchell of Buffy fame ….. though I would have loved to have one. The cell-division in my body in the vertical direction stopped once I was 5’10” (though it is continuing relentlessly in the horizontal direction ….. sign of prosperity you see!!). I am interested in everything that is interesting. My perennial interests include music (any genre but most of the time its gotta be rock), movies, sports, cricket, scrabble, traveling, quizzing …. to name a few. The fact that I have mentioned CRICKET separately from sports will suggest that I am an Indian. Yes, as the old saying goes, and I mention it once again, “In India, cricket is a religion” and other similar stuff; but most of the time our eleven priests are not able to practice it well but we always forgive them, perhaps due to the fear of conversion.
